The fact is that most of us have health problems of one kind or another. It may be a few aches and pains, digestion problems or maybe persistant headaches. It may be a more serious complaint, which is already being treated. Often we have no problem we can put our finger on, but just don't feel we are living to our full potential.

How does our lifestyle affect our health? The food we eat, environmental pollution, stress, lack of exercise, etc.... can have a direct effect on our physical health, leading to problems such as: weight gain, migraines and digestion disorders. Also, we often feel out of control of our lives and this can lead to many negative emotions, such as frustration, depression, anger and sadness. These feelings can go on to produce physical symptoms, which, if not dealt with, can result in conditions such as headaches, ulcers, allergies and eventually, in serious illnesses, such as cancer, heart attacks, strokes and diabetes.

The aim of lifestyle management is to catch health problems, before they go on to cause serious illness and, if an illness is already apparent, to help boost the body's own natural defences.
